SorryBank — Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to SorryBank (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SorryBank mobile application and related services (the “App”). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Nature of the Service

SorryBank provides an anonymous emotional interaction platform where users may submit apologies, forgive others, and manage an in-app “Peace Points” balance. SorryBank is not a financial service or bank. All in-app balances are virtual tokens with no real-world monetary value.

Not regulated by any financial authority — For emotional wellbeing and reflection only.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this age requirement and are legally able to enter into these Terms.

4. Accounts & Security

Users receive an anonymous username or may create a username. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify support immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Peace Points & Virtual Currency

“Peace Points” or “Coins” are virtual tokens used inside the App to enable certain in-app actions. These tokens:

• Have no real-world cash value;
• Are non-transferable outside the App;
• May be obtained via sign-up bonuses, in-app activities, or purchases through the platform providers (Google Play / App Store);
• Are subject to modification, addition, or removal at our discretion.

6. User Conduct

When using the App you must not:

• Post or transmit unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable material;
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation;
• Attempt to hack, interfere with, or reverse-engineer the App;
• Use the App to harass, stalk, or threaten others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules at our sole discretion.

7. Content Ownership & Rights

You retain ownership of content you submit, but by submitting content you grant SorryBank a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute the content within the App for operational purposes. We reserve the right to remove content that violates our rules or community standards.

Note: posts and associated content may be automatically deleted or archived after a limited period (e.g., 7–14 days) to protect user privacy and maintain performance.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. By using the App you consent to our Privacy Policy. We collect minimal information necessary to operate the service (anonymous username, account ID, usage events, and optional email for support).

9. In-App Purchases & Payments

Any purchases of Peace Points or premium features are handled via Google Play or Apple App Store billing systems. Refunds and chargebacks are subject to the platform provider’s policies. We do not store your payment card details.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” for informational and emotional-reflection purposes only. SorryBank is not a replacement for professional mental health or medical care. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SorryBank and its team shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Use the App at your own discretion and risk.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, at our discretion. Upon termination, we may delete or anonymize account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, UI elements, and content provided by SorryBank (excluding user submissions) are our property or licensed to us. You may not copy or reuse our assets without prior written permission.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
